Going home

Today we went to explore the Rheinturm we have been staring at from the hospital ...

Germany's highest restaurant!! We went up by lift ... The restaurant platform itself revolves. Fab views and we even waved to my dad in hospital! He says he waved back but I don't really think so.

From there we went to see him, only to find they had just decided to let him go home :-). :-)

So we packed his stuff and took him home. He's fast asleep now in his own bed!

Brilliant timing as we are having to head back to blighty tomorrow morning!! Such a relief to know that my dad is much better and my mum- who is totally exhausted too - will not have to make the 40 mins journey into dusseldorf any more!!

Early start tomorrow for us... Exciting drive through fascinating Belgium - yawn! Through the tunnel and a quick meet up with son no2 in London before heading home....

Ps: I walked along königsallee today and popped into a shop or two ... Does that count as 'a walk '??
