Looking back

After a enjoyable cocktail fuelled NYE eating Japanese food with friends, me and another Dad took our toddlers (and ourselves) out for fresh air.

The blowing wind and ice-cold rain meant we beat a hasty retreat to the Horniman Museum where they delighted in the Victorian collection of stuffed animals.

Looking at these preserved creatures, and in that reflective frame of mind a new year brings, I wondered what future folk would make of my stuffed remains. So flitted with making some new old vows to improve well-being, be "better", do something amazing but thought I'd avoid the self-disappointment that comes with breaking them and instead decided to just try and enjoy the moment.

Headed back outside and played chase with my 3-year old. Job done.
