Blast off? Not really.

Well, my New Year did not start with a bang; more like a banging, in my head - a migraine, such wonderful fun. A real migraine, too, not a hangover! White knight and I stayed in for a quiet evening of TV and cuddles. Thankfully, the migraine golem let me go with a few daylight hours to spare and I made it to the barn still.

I had hoped to make my first blip of the year from horseback, but my phone died shortly after I got in the saddle. It was a super ride though, and the weather was gorgeous again. Maybe tomorrow I can capture a between the ears shot, if the coming rain and snow hold off until I'm finished with work.

So instead, I give you the still-blooming African violet. My violets had not bloomed in years, but started up again a little while after landing in their new window when we bought the house...over a year of recurring blooms!!
