January Challenge: Day 1 .....

White.

We wanted to start the year out right and get some exercise so we went up to Jacobsburg State Park this afternoon.

When we first arrived we saw several woodpeckers including a red-bellied woodpecker. I was super excited thinking that I would be able to photograph this beautiful woodpecker. But he was long gone before I was able to get my camera ready ..... bummer.

We then headed for the bird blind that they have set up in front of the feeders. Wow! So many different kinds of birds were there! From little black capped chickadees to tufted tit mice! All so beautiful.

Then I spotted this female downy woodpecker. Blip done.

Happy New Year to all my lovely blip friends and to my wonderful family.
