Family Dinner

My nuclear family is rarely together all at once these days, and considering everything, we have managed several family meals over the Christmas/New Year season.

Tonight's meal was special, as we celebrated the start of 2014, and managed a complete meal with no arguments. This is difficult with all of us having strong personalities.

We always sat down together for dinner almost every night, but college and going out on one's own has made this every day tradition almost impossible. Now that we live 3 hours apart, times like tonight mean more to me than just about anything else.

For all of my friends and family, I wish you a very happy 2014!

Take time to enjoy your loved ones, and never forget to laugh and share stories with one another.
