Light & shade

This is the pattern thrown onto the wall by one of the lights on the string around the fireplace. They're largish baubles of different colours & I like the patterns the make.

It's also an apt title for the new year. I've spent the past 6-7 years being ill, last year I started to reclaim my life & this year I'm going to redouble my efforts. Cancer is a life changer physically & emotionally, but it will no longer be a dominant factor in my life.

I'm also determined to blip more - not easy at this time of year when I leave the house in the dark & return home in the dark. Still I've been given £ towards a macro lens so once I've decided what to buy & got it I'll be trying all sorts with it.

So dear blippers I hope that 2014 is kind to you. That you enjoy taking a wide range of photos & sharing them. Jx
