Chincoteague Ponies

While in Virginia Beach for the holidays, my sister and I went to Chincoteague to bird watch. My husband volunteered (with a little cajoling) to drive. The 2 hour trip there took us 4 hours because we kept stopping to look at birds.

Chincoteague was full of migrating water fowl, but I have chosen to post this picture of the ponies, made famous in "Misty of Chincoteague" a children's book. The ponies were far off, this was the best of the pictures I took.
