Appley New Year

Yes, there's not much time to deal with those apples before we'll be back at work and yesterday's collecting added another 85kg to the 40 or so that were already waiting in the garden so although a day of lazing would probably have been sensible, I got up and set about the chopping, pulping and pressing. With a wee break to go and see the local idiots jump in the river, I got six gallons of juice. Another four will finish it off on Friday.

It's remarkably murky and frothy although it's only tiny little bits of apple flesh suspended in the juice. It'll fall to the bottom and leave nice clear juice behind for the weans to drink.

Then back to the Moore's to help eat more of the grub from last night. I think some professional level slumping is in order now.
