Calm before the storm

Had to get a final picture of the streets looking basically empty in Queenstown on NYE, although they arent particularly empty if you look down the left of the picture.

This was around 7.40 on the 31st and traffic had eased after the huge delays around town as the road system exceeds its critical mass.

Within Hours of this, the streets were jammed, organised pub crawls were herding 1000's of teenagers through the streets, families were waiting for fireworks and couples were were having their final romantic evening of 2013. I had my evening planned out for me, at work. Luckily, with my girlfriend so that was nice, if unromantic.

As predicted at work, shortly after midnight, all hell broke loose and we got slammed by customers, we were more than ready for them this year and it was really smooth.
