Home Sweet Home

After a few hours getting to grips with sorting out a very cluttered attic (a New Years must do!) headed out to the woods beyond Pickering Castle. This is an area of woodland with bike trails and interesting contour detail. It was lovely to see the area buzzing with runners and families making the most of the morning.
An informal orienteering event was being held and I could not resist joining in. Helped to collect in the controls just as the rain was becoming more persistent. Lovely to be able to walk from the house orienteer and then head back to soak in a hot bath!
Unfortunately did not carry a camera to capture the North York Moors Railway steaming past the event area. Instead had to settle for a treasured ornament on our Christmas tree. Lovely to have 2 out of our 3 home for Christmas and that Matthew enjoyed the Sydney fireworks to let in the New Year down under.
