Turning a new leaf
Happy new year to you my dear Blip friends, I hope you had a lovely time and a peaceful start to 2014!
Last night I was ready to emigrate (again) thanks to home made fire bombs directed for 2 hours from round the corner into our quiet street and which landed frequently against my door. It really was necessary to check every so often if the house was not set on fire. Next year I will bring the cats to a cat hotel and disappear for a couple of days to a nunnery!
Luckily the misery was shared with an old friend and a kettle of mulled wine. And today we were joined by another old friend with a bag full of oliebollen en appelflappen (traditional turn of the year dutch pastries) and we were relieved from our siege by a walk in the dunes. Which always remind me of Scotland (there are even Highland cows living there). It's over! Peace has returned, and another few days off. I hope you too can relax a bit longer.
