The Beginning of the End

The last of the tomato vines are stuffed into the box in the foreground and the watering hose writhes on the ground like a snake with no head. There's still more clean-up to do and I couldn't bring myself to pull the pepper plants. They still have blossoms on them. I keep hoping they'll start producing; knowing the whole time that the first frost is only a few weeks away. It is very unlikely that a flower present now has a chance of producing a real pepper.
