Happy New Year!

Insomnia struck again last night - 3 hours after is gone to sleep! I then went back to bed (again) at 4.30am at which point Mark got up as he couldn't sleep. He came back at 6am... It's obviously catching ;-)

Took lunch to my Mum's today as we realised there probably wouldn't be vey many places open. Had a lovely afternoon with her. I hadn't seen her Christmas tree this season yet and it was nice to see it with some of the familiar Christmas baubles that I recognised from my childhood. Her tree has quite a retro feel to it but it has a certain charm too. I'm glad she put it up as she sometimes wonders if it's worth it now Dad's no longer around.

I love my Mum.
