As we descended from our alpine refuge down the switchbacks hair-pin bends we assured snugglepig that 99.9999999% of the time car journeys on roads like these don't end in accidents.
No sooner had we calmed her when we rounded a bend to see this significant landslide before us. Thankfully nobody was hurt. Our detour added 2 hours onto a 1.5hour journey where we encountered only one more smaller landslide.
