What struck my fancy

Fallen

Did one of my regular walks this morning, before the rain arrived, around the woods at Sandringham. The Queen's estate is well disposed to dogs because taps with bowls are to be found at intervals, perhaps associated with HMQ's liking for corgis. Recent winds have taken their toll of local woodland and this tree has been sawn to help it lie safely on the ground awaiting removal to the estate's sawmills.

Top right is the restaurant for visitors and out of sight further along is the entrance to Sandringham House and its gardens - but closed when the Royal Family is in residence as for Christmas and January. Cars belong to visitors either strolling around or visiting the amenities - open everyday throughout the year.
