My Best Efforts - Year 3

By AMC

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!.......

........but on such a windy, dark, wet morning I think we need to see something bright and cheerful. So, here, to do just that, is a self seeded primula growing and flowering in between the path and the edging stones looking very wet but undaunted. There are several out in my garden but the tenacity of this one appeals to me - we often plant things in what we consider to be ideal situations only to find that they fail and yet here is this one looking lovely despite all odds. I think we can learn something from this!

To everyone - if you have had sadness, loss, illness or real worries, try to put them in a box and put the box in a cupboard not to be forgotten but so as not to govern your everyday life. To carry our sadness around with us not only makes us even more unhappy but affects everyone we know or love. I don't know if you understand what I'm trying to say but I hope so.
Be as happy and content as you can be and live life to the full, for as far as we know, it is the only human life we have!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

New Years Day last year was brilliantly sunny and there were catkins!
