A good omen!

The first wild creature I saw in 2014 (apart from my wife!) was this Small Tortoiseshell butterfly on the window frame when I opened the curtains. Not so good for the butterfly, which should be hibernating in a cooler place. It will be transfered to the garage later this morning. Happy snapping in 2014.
