But, then again . . . . .

The Space Between.

Another day like yesterday, miserable morning but a nice afternoon.. Sis drove us (Mr Sis, and B, one of her friends and myself) up to Wittenham Clump, an iron-age fort from which we walked the few miles to Dorchester Abbey. The Abbey was an interesting diversion for half an hour or so but, on the way, we stopped while Sis and B. played Pooh sticks on the River Thames at Day's Lock. Years ago, the lock keeper used to sell Pooh sticks to raise money for charity; it became so popular that they held the annual World Championships there on New Year's Day until, one year, it had to be postponed due to the river being frozen. The next event will be held on the 30th March, something not to be missed (allegedly).

As we arrived back at the car park the sun was setting, I took this picture to provide people to insert into an earlier landscape but ended up not going there.

"The Space Between" was a film written and directed by Tim Barrow, he also had a starring role and the credits included all the members of his family. When we showed it at the cinema, Tim came along and did an interesting Q&A session. In my humble opinion, it was one of the best films we've ever shown but then, maybe I'm prejudiced, in a previous life he was one of my cub scouts.

p.s. Happy New Year everybody.
