The Pete District

By Morton

Main St, Onzain, France

Deep in the heart of the Loure Valley sits Onzain; a place steeped in both history and wine.
Stopped and (eventually) had hot chocolate in the cafe in the picture (white building in the middle).
Served by a grumpy old sod sporting a grand Spitfire pilot's mousetashe.
My guess is the proprieter doesn't get asked much for hot chocolate.
He slopped a pan of hot milk, four mugs and an open packet of powdered chocolate with a spoon in the top, down on the table in front of us and huffed off to read his paper again.
We just fell apart laughing and gladly paid him just for the experience.
