Last Day of 2013

Goodbye to the old year...hello to the new. 2013...gone. 2014...hours away.

As usual, we are staying in. It'll be me, Lisa, and Merrick. I just took my scalloped potatoes out of the oven, so we'll warm them up later.

After my treadmill breakdown yesterday, I went down to the open church to take my walk. Round and round the big gym floor...trying not to let it be a bore.

Visited the ducks after my walk. You know it's cold (15F) when the ducks bill is covered with ice. I a-l-m-o-s-t wished I would have had some bread to feed them, although I'm not sure this guy could have even opened his "mouth." He was the only duck of about 20 who flew over to greet me.

I'm watching some oldtimers Detroit Red Wings hockey on TV. They're playing outside at the baseball park where the Detroit Tigers play. Fun to watch. Old guys skating...passing...and shooting the puck. Tomorrow, the current Red Wings will play the Toronto Maple Leafs. Again...outside, but this time at the University of Michigan football stadium.

About New Years Eve...I'm giving you guys the same advice I give my kids...Don't do anything stupid.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
