Goodbye To The Ghosts Of 2013

Goodbye two thousand and thirteen.
I have loved you and I have hated you.

Through the loss, disorientation and darkness,
To rebuild and move on.
To be grateful for what I have
And who I have in my life.

The great Greek philosopher Nana Mouskouri has taught me
That when God closes one door, He opens another.

So forward now, into tomorrow, head held high.
To the new journeys and new adventures that lie ahead.

And to live again.
