NYE Fell Race

Fine way to end the year. A fell race, in Essex!

Ok so it's not really 'fell' terrain but it had all the atmosphere of a fell race; entry fee was chocolate or alcohol (preferably NOT mulled wine) and everyone gets to choose a prize at the end. It was a shame there was no pub, the photo shows the presentation in the car park.

Listed as around 8k with 300m of climb, or a short 5 miles and just under 1000ft in old money. Not sure about that climb figure though, it didn't feel like that much.

I had a good run and even went wrong briefly getting lost, losing about 2 mins and 5 places in the process. I brought a bottle of Cava and took home a box of Lindt.

There's a dark version at the end of March which could be fun.
