New Year's Eve

The last day of the year has been another wet and windy one, although there was a short spell of sunshine in the afternoon. I liked the way the sun brought out the green on the hills as I walked down the main street of Balfron. The two council workers in their yellow jackets also show up - well, apart from them the place looks deserted!

I said goodbye to Pookie and Monty when their mistress got back mid-morning, then did some cheese shopping on the way home. This evening I'm joining friends for Hogmanay dinner and I've to supply the cheese board.

It's now a foul night out there for any revellers. My 'revelling' will be very sedate and I expect to be in my pit not long after midnight.
