One of Portobello's famous sons: Eric Lomax. His true story about to hit the big screen in The Railway Man. Its premiere here in Porty sold out in no time. A lucky 200 will see it first at The Wash House community centre before its national release. For those who cannot wait I commend an excellent adaptation of The Railway Man being broadcast every day this week at 1430 on BBC Radio 4 Extra, produced by David Jackson Young.
