first christmas

Well, I had actually met Pierre at this time last year, but we didn't spend Christmas together.

Left Marseille around 11am and drove straight to Mirabel. Pierre's mum had bought us a pompe au beurre for breakfast which is like a brioche and is flavoured with orange blossom water. It's a traditional Provençal Christmas bread. Delicious.

Arrived at Mirabel and showed off my new iPad to mum :) We opened our presents (I got some money, hand cream, and a scraper for my car(!) and Pierre got an Amazon voucher and a bottle of Elixir de Mont Ventoux).

For dinner, we had salmon to start, traditional turkey and all the trimmings for main, and then mum's amazing sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

We played a couple of games, had a cuppa, and then headed home to bed and to open the rest of the presents. I got a beautiful scarf from my friend, Luce, which I love. Coquine and Ziza even got a present each :)
