I've left it to the last minute

Today, I rescued a damsel in distress
At the service station, the young lady had a flat tyre
She didn't even know
So I changed it for her
She was concerned that I may get sunburnt, and popped a ladies hat on me
Then took this, and sent it to me
I left my good deed for the year until the 11th hour
So ends 2013...
