Cloudy
We visited Red Rock Canyon this afternoon and the boys just loved it. The canyon is just a 40 minute drive from town and is an area where sand dunes have been frozen way back in time and the resulting sandstone layers undulate and glow in ripples of colour - especially against a backdrop of an almost cloudless sky! This image has not been enhanced at all, the colours are exactly as they were and I decided not to crop out my shadow as I feel it adds perspective, plus you get a selfie of sorts! The boys had a fabulous time clambering over the rocks and exploring the nooks and crannies formed by the ancient folds of red sandstone. We were still there at sunset and had a wonderful view of the lights of Vegas beckoning down in the valley as the sun set and glowed as it dipped below the mountains behind us.
