Saint John is one of the sunniest places in Canada - in the winter, that is! I woke up this morning to a sunny morning, and a new layer of snow that has fallen overnight. And yes, snow shovelling was the task of the day, but at least it was light and fluffy, not nearly as heavy as if we had gotten the freezing rain that had been forecast.

As the sun set, the wind came up, bitter and biting. My hands were freezing by the time I had taken this photo. The winter is beautiful and sunny, yes - and cold!
