Deeside Diaries

End of the year...

Here's all the stuff I've collected since beginning this madness.

At the front are the running time sheets from Belladrum, with my notes. That kinda started me and I began hanging out in HMV on a Thursday evening, checking out and taking photos of some of the local talent that played acoustic sets there.

But it wasn't until 19th September I had a camera with me for a gig - The Temperance Movement.

Shooting Jonny Marr in October got me into writing about what I was experiencing for a local online paper - The Aberdeen Voice.

Since then, along with lots of local bands, I've photographed The Boomtown Rats, The Courteeners, Sweet & Slade, Big Country, Spear of Destiny, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Arthur Brown and more. I just counted - 34 gigs in total - some on the same night.

My blips have changed their content and become less regular - oops. But it's kinda addictive. More pics from the gigs I've shot are here on flickr, for anyone who might be interested.

Happy New Year to you all and may you be blessed in 2014.
