But, then again . . . . .

Trail of the Lonesome Pine.

It was a beautiful day today so Sis and I went for a walk along The Ridgeway this morning. The blip was taken towards the end at the top of a south facing hill; I was informed that it is a b*gg*r in the heat of the summer sun, not that it happens very often. There were a few cyclists out, one mother complaining that she was “to old for this” and her son wouldn’t slow down for her; all credit to her for going out but I don’t suppose it will happen again.

“On the Trail of the Lonesome Pine” is a song first published in 1913 and later, made famous by the Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy 1937 film, “Way Out West.” That’s Mrs TD’s favourite as became clear when, in 1975, the song made it to number two in the British hit parade. Such are the vagaries of the British public.
