Ratty hiding in the leaves

It rained today and I wanted to get out with the camera. the aim was to capture a shot of the elusive white egret (one day!!!). Armed with fat balls, nuts and seeds my back up plan was a local beauty spot called Hubbards Hills, nr. Louth in Lincolnshire. Whilst watching the birds I became aware of a little rat eating the seeds that had blown from the fence. In total there were six of them braving the elements for food. I have always had an aversion to rats, but I have to admit this family were really cute. So much so that I actually put some food down especially for them, and was rewarded by a couple of great shots.
