Hifi

My mini hifi packed in yesterday, mostly (okay entirely) as a result of my exertions to get it to relinquish my Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy CDs that it swallowed ages ago. I had decided that since the CD changer was broken anyway, it wasn't too much of a problem if it broke completely. That quickly turned to horror as I realised it actually was broken completely and things like tape decks and mini disc players are a little difficult to come across nowadays.

Luckily my lovely husband made me a new hifi out of some stuff in the loft and all I have to do now is wire up some sort of aerial for the radio and find a mini disc player - they do pop up occasionally and I was thisclose to getting one on Gumtree today except that someone else got in before me.

Plus - and this was the really good bit - I got to take a screwdriver to the old hifi. I screwdrove it with extreme predjudice and got my CDs back, yaay!

On a slightly related note - at my work do before Christmas, the DJ was a bored looking guy standing there jabbing occasionally at a laptop. It really isn't the same. Not at all.
