Today...

Under the shadow of our Table Mountain, we threw the ashes of my beloved little brother, Peter, to all four winds. He died suddenly on 13th December from a massive heart attack... oh what a talented young man. Only forty seven years , so brave,so full of love. He always told us he was famous, being his family we never believed him ... But on the 19 Dec the Cathedral was overflowing with people who had flown in from New York, Berlin, Vancouver, London.
Peter was a theatre director, actor and activist . In a time when South Africa was so conservative , he dared to speak out for for gays with his plays, he wrote about his HIV status and examined his own mortality .
Life has changed unequivocally ... A light has gone out in our family. I have had no words to describe the deep loss and sadness that has overwhelmed my soul...
