Donkey Knows Best!

Outs for a 6 mile walk starting at Clytha, Near Usk, we walked through many a boggy field before coming out in the small hamlet of Bettws Newydd, where the Black Bear Inn is situated.

In the rear garden were two donkeys. My wife loves animals so walked towards their paddock but this inquiring donkey ignored her and came towards me, sticking it's head towards my camera. I couldn't resist!

Afterwards we popped into Monmouth. The drive home along the A449 saw many very badly flooded fields.......with more rain to come!

At least it held off for our walk.
