Uncle Tim's Bridge, Wellfleet
Another beautiful day today. In the morning we went biking on another section of the Cape Cod Rail Trail, this time starting from the northern end in Wellfleet. We took a detour off the trail, to take a look at Marconi Beach, then continued south along the trail for a return total of about 20 miles, including our detour. We returned to Marconi Beach in the afternoon to sit and relax, before going for a walk around Wellfleet itself, where we came across Uncle Tim's bridge, a wooden footbridge, connecting the village to a small wooded island, crossing a tidal creek (Duck Creek) and marshland. Having explored Wellfleet and the island we followed a road out to the bayside to catch the sunset again. It was more subdued than yesterday, but beautiful nonetheless
