Autumn

It's been a busy day in the garden today planting out the winter pansies and having a good sort out. It was really warm when the sun was out so it was on and off with the fleece. Still no substantial rain, there were a couple of light showers which soon evaporated.

It was gorgeous over in the valley when I took Barney and Meg for a run, Meggie is still plodding on and it's a real slow walk for her, we did try to take them out separately but she got really stressed so she comes along at her own pace

Lots of fun for Barney swimming, he should have been an otter.

On the way back the smokey chimney caught my eye, it felt suddenly very autumny. There were hundreds of tiny insects which could be clearly seen in the sunlight. There is now that definate nip in the air as the sun sets and the evenings are a lot cooler. I'll have to keep an eye on the weather forecast as we're off to Shell Island again in a couple of weeks
