Sunshine and Showers

Well no actual showers only the artificial ones created by this new fountain.

For the last 12 years of coming here has always been some major construction work going on in Nice either the tramway or a new underground car park. For the last 18-24 months it has been the strip of land either side of two main roads leading down to Place Massena. The bus station used to be here until they demolished it.

In September when we were last here this new green space wasn't finished but it is now. They have replaced the old fountain opposite Place Massena and replaced it with a bigger, newer one that is much more tactile. For a start the water only gets to about an inch deep so you can actually walk through it and the water spouts at different intervals and different heights. Its great fun and I expect it to be really busy on a hot day if the water is cool.

As you can see another sunny day. I was up early this morning and went for a run and even did some yoga - not like me at all as I really don't do the exercise thing but am desperately trying to keep my running up after getting from nothing to 5K.

Lunch was prawns and champagne at the Christmas market and then back to the flat to watch Tangled.
