Chartres Cathedral
Day-trip to Chartres, where a cold wind and many closed shops awaited us. But also the most famous landmark of the region: Chartres Cathedral. It is large, it is old (only minor changes since early 13th century), a good example of Gothic architecture and the majority of the original stained glass windows survive intact.
We didn't 'dare' to go for the guided tour (it is 1.5 hours). But may be one day we return for it.
