By FinHall

It's raining, it's pouring.

In case you haven't noticed, the weather is wet.
Incessant rain continues to fall.
That, of course, is the only way it can fall. It can't fall up can it?
In the wind it will go sideways. But it still has to come down first.

Local words to describe how the weather is today.

Dreich.
Drookit.
Siping weet. (As in piping)
Nae Affa fine.
Waldy wither.
