Sandwick

Woke to a beautiful morning, flat calm and no rain, the sun just starting to appear over the hill. For the first time in months I didn't need waterproofs or wellies, Ollie and I had a nice dry road walk down to Sandwick Bay, about 45 minutes each way. The roads are single track and he doesn't need a lead, so he is able to do lots of snuffling in the verges and get a good run around. The only traffic we saw were a couple of cars on their way to church and a tractor taking feeding out to cattle. Very peaceful.

Friends over in the evening for supper and Rummikub, a tile game with similar rules to rummy. Requires less concentration than Scrabble, so allows for more chatting and drinking! A really lovely evening!
