Long day....

Today seemed to go on forever.

We drove Mum down to Da Shire, then spent the rest of the day sorting through all my old shite I'd left at hers over the years. She is moving house, so everything has to either come back up here, given to a charity shop or taken to the dump.

After we'd managed to sort through everything, visit the dump, bag other things up for charity and then load the car with the things I'm keeping, we drove over to friends for a flying visit/coffee stop/present exchange. I'd not seen them for well over a year, so it was great to catch up.

Fuelled with caffeine, hugs and presents, we headed back out into the dark, wet and windy night. Due to the bad weather we opted to take the longer, yet safer route home. Finally, just after 9, we made it back. Phew!
