Djupivogur, Iceland
Backblipping our Voyage of the Viking adventure...day 25
According to it's Web Site..."Djupivogur, a town with history of trading since 1589 and a long history of fishing, lies in a region of incomparable beauty...The towering mountain Bulandstindur at 1069 m, dominates the landscape. The mountain is pyramid-shaped and many believe it to be a source of cosmic power."
This is a photo of Connie exploring the black sand beach and the treasures found there!
This is a very small town with a population of under 400 souls. We had a very short... too very short, time to spend there. I don't imagine I'll ever return... but I'm very thankful to have seen it!
