Columbia Slough

We walked along the Columbia Slough on our way to breakfast in Kenton this morning. Lots of Canada geese flying in formation, but I don't think they actually migrate from here to somewhere else; I suspect they just fly around for the exercise and then land near the water. On golf courses, Sauvie Island farm land, school yards. There were hundreds gathered on the lawn at the water treatment plant as we passed by. Maybe the ground there is particularly nutritious. I know our breakfast was! Yummy corn meal pancakes!
