Bourgeois

Off out in the morning to the Modern Art Gallery to see the Louise Bourgeois exhibition which turned out to be pretty brilliant, really. All the work from her long artistic life was impressive enough, but some of the stuff that she was still producing when still in her 90s, just a few years ago, before her death in 2010 was incredible. If you're in Edinburgh it's a bit of a must-see I reckon - on until 18th May and free admission.

Afternoon spent lunching at Howies where I may have actually eaten my own body weight in venison and mashed potato - but what a way to go that would be! Teatime spent at Filmhouse to see Nebraska - still utterly fabulous on second viewing and another must-see in my book (altho' you do have to actually fork out a little of your hard-earned for this one...) and then up to Tuk Tuk for some Indian 'street food' (and I know the concept of 'street food' really irks some folk and I'm kind of with you on the whole trendy branding thing, but it really is very good food they do there) before getting back to the hotel to see the mighty Hull City chalk up their biggest win in twenty years.

Music, summat from Nebraska.
