A good spread

Some would say I put on a 'good spread'

Some would comment on the variety of food available.

Some would say how tasty the quiche's were or how good the ham, beef and turkey tasted.

Some would also comment favorably on the extra thick double cream which went beautifully with the cheescakes on offer for sweet.

Some would then thank the host for a wonderful afternoon with lovely people and a 'spread' to match.

Some would say I 'put on a good spread', but today this was NOT my 'spread'. This 'spread' belongs to my dearest friend, her husband and daughter. The 'some' was me and it was a good afternoon and good to see others I haven't seen for a while.

We are lucky we have good friends and I cherish them all and after this fine spread we visited more friends for mince pie and Christmas cake. A good way to spend a Sunday.
