Rising Rivers

I've had a day off work today, after a well needed lie in I walked the dogs in a local village by the side of the River Blythe we have been lucky compared with most of the country and although this is three times higher than it should be we haven't had any major floods.

This afternoon I went to a family get together, not my family but a friend who is almost like a brother to me ( I was secretly going to marry him twenty years ago, but we ended up being great friends instead!)he's happily married now with four kids, but we rib each other and laugh at all the same things so I always enjoy seeing him.

I've now just walked in from the hospital and seeing dad who was wide awake and spoke "hello darling,nice to see you" as I walked in, it may not be the clearest speech but it was great to hear, then I laughed as he remarked he liked my new primarni!!! Jumper!! ( a gift I hasten to add as I snoberly only wear hilfiger jumpers which he never likes!!!)
