Heading south

The Howgills seen from Shap Summit (ish). It was much calmer after the ferocious gales of the day before. The sky was quite dramatic, and I always like the layered effect of hills. This was one of only 2 shots where the camera focussed on the view rather than the windscreen.... In case you're wondering, Houblon was driving.

Sad to be heading back south :-( still, it was excellent to see the Lappers and we managed a lovely walk in spite of the weather.
