Sods Law or John Muir Woods

Had I been a bit better organised this morning you would have had a very different blip, a pre-dawn shot of West Barns village with its Xmas lights. I got up quite early and notice that the moon was still quite bright in a dark blue night sky so I got out my SLR and tripod and decided to take a few shots of the crescent moon hoping that I would also have some stars visible too. However, I was dissatisfied as the moon was very low in the sky.

Having been to the paper shop, I decided there were better shots to be had in the village of the Xmas lights so I went back to the house to fetch my tripod and spent twenty minutes or so taking shots, waiting for vehicles travelling in the right direction to pass by to get the traffic trails I wanted. When I came to review my shots at the breakfast table I came across the dreaded message on my camera " No memory card inserted " Oh shit !

As I was going to be busy the rest of the day as we had friends coming for lunch, I grabbed a couple of shots on the dog walk as as I saw the low sun was catching the trees quite attractively as we walked through John Muir Country Park Woods.
