Borders Valley
Innerleithen is a typical Scottish Borders town nestling in the River Tweed valley. Wool mills were the main reason the town sprung up, but this industry has long died out. Tourism is now one of the main income streams and they are trying to develop mountain biking in the area. There are already many trails nearby and plans are being discussed for mechanical transport up the hills.
