Dead Paws

But I still think they hold so much beauty, even in death.

I visited Wireless Hill Park this afternoon after a spot of shopping at Garden City. It was my first visit to the park and I didn't realize how close it is to home - ten minutes if the traffic is good! I had been hoping to spot some new birds... but it was super windy and I still don't have my binoculars, so I made do with the dead kangaroo paws. There are tons of them in the park, all dried up and glowing golden yellow in the afternoon sun.

I'm on day one of four days off!! Almost don't know what to do with myself :)
